Charbonnet (knee) will face increased competition for touches once he recovers from a torn ACL, as Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports that the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price 32nd overall Thursday, The Seahawks lost running back Kenneth Walker in free agency but didn't take long to draft Walker's replacement, using the final selection of Thursday's first round on Price out of Notre Dame. Charbonnet split carries with Walker during the 2025 regular season, but Walker took on a workhorse role after Charbonnet tore his ACL in the NFC divisional-round win over the 49ers. Charbonnet's recovery is likely to stretch into the 2026 regular season, but if he can regain his pre-injury form, he'll likely return to a platoon role in a Seahawks backfield that also includes Price, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.

Latest Seahawks News
Zach Charbonnet : Team drafts RB in Round 1
George Holani : Door not shut on backfield role
Holani could still have a role in Seattle's running back rotation even after the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price 32nd overall Thursday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. Zach Charbonnet (knee) is likely to miss some regular-season action, leaving Price, Holani and Emanuel Wilson as the top healthy options in a Seahawks backfield that lost Kenneth Walker in free agency. Price had just 15 catches in three years at Notre Dame, so Holani has a clear path to carving out a role in passing situations, at least until Charbonnet returns. Holani had only two catches across 11 regular-season appearances in 2025 but added four receptions in two playoff contests.
Emanuel Wilson : First-round RB added by Seattle
Wilson will face increased competition for touches after the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price 32nd overall Thursday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. All three of Wilson, Price and George Holani could play sizable roles early in the season while Zach Charbonnet works his way back from a torn ACL. The Seahawks signed Wilson and drafted Price after losing running back Kenneth Walker in free agency. Price is untested in a workhorse role, having backed up Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame, so Seattle's likely to spread out the backfield workload between multiple options despite investing significant draft capital into Price.
Ty Okada : Signs tender with champs
Okada signed his exclusive-rights tender with the Seahawks on Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Okada is set to make $1.145 million over the 2026 campaign. The safety had a breakout year in 2025, starting 11 games for the Seahawks' secondary during the regular season and helping to secure the team's second Super Bowl win in franchise history. While the exclusive-rights tender locks Okada into a one-year deal, it is likely the ascending defensive back will see a much larger payday after the 2026 season concludes.
Zach Charbonnet : Expected to play in 2026
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald declined to provide a specific estimate for the return of Charbonnet (ACL) on Monday but said "he's not going to miss the whole year," John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Macdonald said he expects WR Tory Horton (shin/groin) to be ready for the start of training camp but declined to link Charbonnet, who tore his right ACL in January and underwent surgery in February, to a similar timetable. Given the timing of Charbonnet's procedure, which carries a typical 8-to-12-month recovery, his status for both training camp and Week 1 have to be considered in serious doubt. However, GM John Schneider said in February that he "wouldn't put anything past [Charbonnet]" and that the running back's rehab prospects are "more optimistic than it was initially," Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. During the early days of free agency, Seattle inked Emanuel Wilson to a one-year deal and extended George Holani an ERFA tender, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the team make further backfield additions with Kenneth Walker moving on to Kansas City via free agency.
Tory Horton : Expected to be ready for camp
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that Horton (shin/groin) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Horton won't be 100 percent healthy for spring activates due to his rehab from offseason surgery undergone to address the lower-body injuries that prevented him from suiting up after Week 9 of last season, but the 2025 fifth-round pick should be back on the field by late July. Across eight appearances as a rookie, Horton secured 13 of 23 targets for 161 yards and five touchdowns.
Chazz Surratt : Back with Seahawks
Seattle re-signed Surratt on Wednesday, Ari Horton of the team's official site reports. Surratt suited up for 11 regular-season games with the Seahawks last year before landing on IR with an ankle injury, totaling 11 tackles (four solo) in that span while primarily contributing on special teams. He was cleared to return in time for the team's win over New England in Super Bowl LX, though Surratt didn't ultimately play any snaps during that contest.
Jake Bobo : Offer sheet matched by Seahawks
The Seahawks are matching the Jaguars' offer sheet to Bobo, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Bobo now is in line to remain with Seattle on a two-year, $5.5 million deal that includes $4.5 million guaranteed. Bobo caught just two passes in 11 regular-season games with the Seahawks in 2025, and he's on track to remain in a depth role this coming season while working in a WR corps that also includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed.
