Aubrey agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $28 million contract extension with the Cowboys that includes $20 million guaranteed, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Aubrey's new deal with Dallas is record-setting, and as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports makes him the first kicker in NFL history to earn $7 million annually on average. Across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025, Aubrey converted 36 of his 42 field-goal attempts and was especially clutch from 50-plus yards out, going 11-for-17. The Cowboys initially assigned Aubrey a second-round tender as a placeholder to workout a long-term deal.
Bell (concussion) was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and marijuana Friday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Bell could be facing disciplinary charges from the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy, though more details of the arrest have yet to be released. He is entering the second season of a three-year, $12 million contract that he signed with Dallas in March of 2025. Bell appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Cowboys in 2025, splitting his time evenly between defense and special teams. He finished with 41 tackles (20 solo), three pass defenses (one interception) and one forced fumble.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that he has spoken with Pickens but is unsure whether the franchise-tagged wide receiver will attend voluntary team workouts this spring, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports. Pickens currently is slated to play out the 2026 campaign on the one-year, fully-guaranteed $27.29 million franchise tag, though he and Dallas still have until mid-July to negotiate a potential long-term deal. The 25-year-old has not yet officially signed his franchise tag, however. Schottenheimer said, "We have plans for [Pickens] to be here for a long time, so we'll let the business side of this thing play out," and the coach confirmed that he hasn't sought any assurances that Pickens will attend any voluntary team activities. Cowboys COO Stephen Jones echoed Schottenheimer's statements, noting that "everybody would like to have a long-term deal" but "[w]e're just not gonna comment as we move forward on negotiations."
Bullard signed a one-year deal worth a maximum of $2.5 million with the Cowboys on Saturday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Bullard spent the 2025 season in New Orleans while serving in a rotational role along the defensive line. He logged only 325 defensive snaps -- his lowest since 2022 -- and he may play in a similarly limited fashion in 2026, given the Cowboys' investment in their defensive line in the last two offseasons.
Kendrick signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Kendrick kicked off the 2025 campaign handling a depth role with Seattle, but he was waived after 10 regular-season appearances and then claimed by the Rams, playing five more games. The cornerback and special-teamer will compete for a reserve gig in Dallas.
The Cowboys signed Ballentine to a one-year contract Monday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Ballentine spent last summer with the Packers but was cut ahead of Week 1 and signed with New England, spending most of September with the team. He then signed with Dallas, where he spent much of the 2025 campaign on the practice squad. Ballentine will compete for a job this offseason.
Bass signed his second-year tender with Dallas on Tuesday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Bass had been a restricted free agent and was tendered by the Cowboys in early March. He should compete for a starting role at left guard in 2026.
